App: Volta TV Remote (Android, package com.aaai.tvremote)

Operator: Duc Lai (laiminhduc@gmail.com)

This app pairs with smart TVs over your local Wi-Fi network and acts as a remote control. We have written it to do as little with your data as possible. This document explains exactly what is collected, why, and how to delete it.

What we collect

Purchase dataYour Google Play purchase/entitlement status for the ad-free upgrade. When you make or restore an in-app purchase.Handled by Google Play Billing. We do not operate a server for purchases and do not send this data to any third party.

We do not collect: name, email, phone number, location, contacts, photos (except files you explicitly cast), microphone audio (except live voice search you trigger), or any health, financial, or identity-document data.

Consent (EEA / UK)

If your device locale is in the EEA or UK, both Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics are off by default. You see a Consent screen on first launch with two opt-in checkboxes. Either decision is honoured for the life of the install; you can change it any time in Settings → Privacy in the app, or by tapping Delete my data to start fresh.

Google's User Messaging Platform may also show an ad-consent form where required before AdMob requests ads.

Third parties

We do not sell or rent your data to anyone.

Advertising & the advertising ID

The free app shows ads via Google AdMob. AdMob may use the Google advertising ID to serve and measure ads and to limit ad fraud. You can reset or delete the advertising ID at any time in your device's Settings → Google → Ads, and you can opt out of ad personalization there. Buying the ad-free upgrade removes all ads.

Screen mirroring

When you start the optional screen-mirroring feature, the app captures your device screen while mirroring is active. Those frames are encoded and streamed in real time over your local Wi-Fi network to the TV or Chromecast you selected — and nowhere else. The captured screen is not recorded, not stored, and never sent to Volta's servers or any other cloud server. You start and stop mirroring explicitly, and a persistent foreground-service notification stays visible the entire time capture is running so you always know when it is active.

Retention

Your rights & data deletion

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has paired a TV with this app, tap Delete my data to wipe it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when shipping a new app version. Material changes will be reflected here with a new effective date; continued use of the app after an update constitutes acceptance.
